Early on the morning of September 24, 2010, funnyman Stephen Colbert testified before the House subcommittee on Immigration at the invitation of Chairwoman Zoe Lofgren (D-CA). According to a forgiving calculation by Fox Business Network, Colbert’s appearance cost taxpayers approximately $125,000. Fox’s Stuart Varney revealed the figure on his morning show, Varney & Company.
